From our dawning as a single storage facility in Lower Hutt in 1999, All Secure Self Storage has developed into a nationwide company with facilities at 9 locations across New Zealand. Led by the initiative of founders Keith Edwards and Peter James, our company has continually delivered high-quality service and innovative security measures within the self storage industry for over 20 years.
All Secure Self Storage found its beginnings in the minds of Keith Edwards and Peter James in 1999. Whilst holidaying in Australia, Keith saw the opportunity that Self Storage offered, simultaneously, Peter read of the same opportunity in Robert Kiyosaki’s book Rich Dad, Poor Dad. At Keith’s instigation, land was purchased in Lower Hutt for the construction of a Self-Storage Facility. At a Self Storage conference in Australia, Keith met our current software providers StorMan, our current builders Storco, and had his carefully designed plans ripped up and redesigned by Sam Kennard of Kennards Self Storage over a beer at the bar. Our History
2003
We opened a new facility in Christchurch on Carmen Road, our first built by Storco.
2008
We opened a new facility on the Kapiti Coast on Epiha Street next door to Big Save. This is our first 2 story all weather facility.
2009
Our Kapiti facility won the SSAA Award for Best Regional Facility in Australasia, and we were an Innovation Award Finalist.
We expanded to Auckland with the acquisition of Green Umbrella Storage on Galway Street, Onehunga.
2011
We won the SSAA Innovation Award for our paperless signup, and our Christchurch manager won SSAA Manager of the Year.
2012
We opened a new facility in Auckland Tidal Road, Mangere. This is our second facility in the Auckland Region
2014
We expanded to Taupo with the acquisition of Alcatraz Self Storage on Tauhara Road.
Our Christchurch manager was a finalist for SSAA Manager of the Year.
2015
We expanded to Whanganui with the acquisition of Kennards Self Storage on Wilson Street.
2016
We introduced the Moving Mate at the Christchurch, Lower Hutt and Kapiti Branches.
2017
We opened a new facility in Napier on Pandora Road. Another facility opposite a Big Save.
2018
We began our partnership with the Wellington Lions Rugby team.
We were finalist for the SSAA Community Engagement, Regional Facility of the Year and Manager of the Year Awards.
We opened a new facility in Palmerston North on John F Kennedy Drive. Or Second facility in the Manawatu Region.
2019
Stage 2 in our Palmerston North Facility was opened up.
Our Head Office was redeveloped and expanded at our Auckland Airport Branch.
All Secure celebrated 20 years in business.
2020
We opened a new facility in Taupo, Our second Branch in Taupo is located in Stag Park Hillside. The site also includes Accommodation, Diner and Truck Stop.
We opened a new facility in Auckland, our Third Branch in Auckland is located in Sylvia Park on the Famous Tip Top corner SH1.
Development Started at our Third Wellington Site, this facility will be located on the former LV Martin Site in Ngarunga.
Released our new Sign Up application which includes in-store contactless signups, online signups via email link or website directly with an easy to use unit selection tool giving customers available unit sizes nationwide live at all our branches.
